Materials
Six hundred millimetre steel bars with ductile iron heads and tails, acme threaded screws and turned wooden handles. Sold as a pair.
Care
Wax the bars so glue does not key to the steel, and keep squeeze-out off the thread. Iron in contact with wet glue on oak will stain the wood black, so pad the bar with an offcut.
