Materials
Two hundred forty millimetre impulse-hardened ryoba blade, crosscut teeth on one edge and rip on the other, with a rattan-wrapped hardwood handle. Replacement blades available.
Care
Impulse-hardened teeth cannot be re-filed — when it stops cutting, the blade is replaced, not sharpened. Store it in the sleeve it arrives in; the teeth chip against other steel in a drawer.
